No Alibi welcomes anglers of all levels of experience.
The Captain, Tom Rodgers, was born and raised in Key
West. The offshore waters and backcountry islands are
his backyard. He is extremely experienced in both
fishing and diving.
The No Alibi is a 25 ft center console Sea Vee. It is
powered by a 2004 300hp Yamaha outboard engine. The boat
has 180 gal fuel capacity, a 65 gal live bait well and
is equipped with plenty of dry storage, a CD player,
advanced electronics including VHF Radio, Furno Depth
Recorder, Garmen GPS and of course a cellular phone.
Included in the price of the trip is all licenses, ice,
bait and tackle. Captain Tom's preferred tackle is
Shimano rods and reels though he sometimes finds a Penn
or Daiwa reel suits the task at hand.
Fishing techniques most commonly used are bait casting,
conventional and spinning. Fly fishing is available upon
request.
Captain Tom fishes four main areas in the waters
surrounding Key West : Blue Water / Deep Sea, Reef,
Wreck, and the famous Key West Harbor. All are action
packed and full of many different species of fish
including Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, King Mackerel,
Barracuda, Shark, Cobia, Snapper, Grouper, Tarpon and
Permit.
Captain Tom and No Alibi Charters are also
available for Private Island Escape trips to remote
beaches, reef snorkeling, wild dolphin and exotic bird
observation, seasonal lobstering trips and spear fishing
trips.
